Hackney, located just north of the City of London, is one of the city’s fastest-growing and most vibrant neighbourhoods. The area has benefited from several regeneration projects over recent years which have greatly improved its economic profile making it more desirable as a business destination.
The area also has a thriving small business community, this is largely thanks to an enterprising initiative, Startup Loans which has seeded more than £5 billion into startups based in the area. The scheme also provides support and advice to business owners and arranges regular meetups and seminars.
A diverse range of business accommodation is available in the city which is mostly located in converted buildings close to the centre. These have attracted a wide range of innovative companies in the tech and creative sectors. They are attracted not only by cheap rents, but the many hip bars and restaurants which have sprung up over the past few years.
